If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto US-30 E from your location in South Central Pennsylvania. Follow US-30 E until you merge onto I-76 E (the Schuylkill Expressway) toward Philadelphia. Continue on I-76 E for about 30 miles. Take exit 344 for I-676 E toward Camden. Continue on I-676 E for about 1.5 miles. Take exit 1 toward 8th St. and merge onto N 8th St. Follow N 8th St. for about 0.5 miles, then turn left onto Arch St. Continue for another 0.3 miles, then turn right onto 2nd St. After about 0.2 miles, turn left onto Elfreth's Alley. The museum will be on your right at 126 Elfreth's Alley. Parking is available in nearby garages, and expect to pay around $20 for a few hours of parking.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take the Amtrak train to Philadelphia's 30th Street Station. From there, transfer to the SEPTA Market-Frankford Line (blue line) heading toward Frankford and get off at the 8th Street station. Exit the station and walk south on 8th St. for about 0.5 miles until you reach Arch St. Turn left on Arch St. and continue for 0.3 miles. Turn right onto 2nd St., and then left onto Elfreth's Alley. The Elfreth's Alley Museum will be at 126 Elfreth's Alley. A one-way ticket on SEPTA will cost approximately $2.50.
