Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the nearest large town or city, such as Cusco. Drive along the CU-28 road towards Ollantaytambo. After approximately 30 km, turn onto the CU-914 road. Continue on CU-914 for about 10 km until you reach Wat'a, located directly off the road.
Public Transportation
To reach Wat'a using public transportation, first head to the main bus terminal in Cusco. Look for buses heading towards Ollantaytambo. The journey takes around 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at Ollantaytambo, you will need to find a local shared taxi or minivan that travels along the CU-914 road. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to stop at Wat'a. The taxi ride will take approximately 20 minutes.
Hiking
For the adventurous, if you're already on the Inca Trail, you can hike towards Wat'a. Depending on your current location on the trail, you may need to navigate off the main path. Use a map or GPS to guide you to CU-914. Once you reach the road, head south for about 2 km to find Wat'a. Be prepared for a lengthy hike, so bring sufficient water and supplies.
