If you are traveling by car from Lares Trek, head towards the town of Lares and take the main road (PE-3S) towards Cusco. The journey can take approximately 3 to 4 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Once you reach Cusco, follow the signs to the city center. The Regional Historical Museum of Cusco is located at C. Garcilaso in the Centro Histórico area. Look for parking options nearby, as street parking can be limited.

To reach the Regional Historical Museum of Cusco by public transportation, first take a local bus or colectivo from Lares to Cusco. The buses to Cusco usually leave from the main square in Lares. The fare is approximately 10 to 15 soles. Once you arrive at the main bus terminal in Cusco, you can take a taxi or walk to the museum. If you choose to walk, head east towards the Plaza de Armas, then continue to C. Garcilaso. The museum is a short distance from the square.
