If you're traveling by car, start your journey from Lima. Take the Pan-American Highway (Carretera Panamericana Sur) north towards Supe Puerto. The distance is approximately 175 kilometers and will take around 3 to 4 hours depending on traffic. Once in Supe Puerto, follow the signs to Barranca. The Sacred City of Caral is located about 23 kilometers from Supe Puerto. Look for the signs indicating the archaeological site. There is a parking area available for visitors.

For those using public transportation, head to the main bus terminal in Lima (Terminal Terrestre Plaza Norte). Look for buses heading to Supe Puerto; several companies operate this route. The bus ride will take approximately 4 to 5 hours. Once you arrive in Supe Puerto, you can take a local taxi or arrange a shared minivan to the Sacred City of Caral, which is about 23 kilometers away. It's advisable to negotiate the fare beforehand, which is typically around 15-20 soles.

Taxi from Supe Puerto
If you prefer a direct route from Supe Puerto, you can take a taxi to the Sacred City of Caral. Taxis are readily available outside the bus terminal. The trip will take around 30 minutes and cost approximately 40-50 soles. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.

Entrance Fee
When you arrive at the Sacred City of Caral, note that there is an entrance fee. As of now, the fee is approximately 11 soles for adults and 5 soles for students. It's a good idea to have cash on hand, as credit cards may not be accepted.
