Car
If you are driving from the Sacred Valley, take the main road towards Cusco (Route 3S). After approximately 20 km, you will see signs for Pikillacta on your right. The site is located just off the main road, and there is a parking area available. Make sure to have some change for parking fees, which are typically around 5-10 soles.
Public Transportation
To reach Pikillacta by public transport, take a minibus (collectivo) from either Urubamba or Ollantaytambo to Cusco. These minibuses frequently depart and the fare is approximately 10-15 soles. Upon arriving at Cusco, head to the Terminal Terrestre (bus station) and look for a bus heading towards Zapatilla or Tipón. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to stop at Pikillacta. The bus ride will cost around 5 soles. Once you arrive at the designated stop, you may have to walk a short distance to reach the archaeological site.
