From the center of Trujillo, head to the main bus terminal located near Av. España. Look for buses heading to Huanchaco, as they frequently pass through. The fare is usually around 1-2 soles. The ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Chan Chan. Once you arrive, you will see signs guiding you to the entrance.

If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a mototaxi (three-wheeled taxi) from anywhere in Trujillo. You can find mototaxis near the Plaza de Armas or other central locations. Simply tell the driver 'Chan Chan' as your destination. The fare should be around 10-15 soles, and the journey will take about 20 minutes.

If you're already in Huanchaco, you can walk to Chan Chan. From the main beach area of Huanchaco, head inland towards the main road (Av. La Paz). Walk straight until you reach VWVG+Q5C (the address of Chan Chan). It's about a 20-30 minute walk from the beach.

Bicycle Rental
For a more active approach, consider renting a bicycle in Huanchaco. Many local shops offer rentals. Once you have a bicycle, ride along the coastal road towards Trujillo, then follow the signs towards Chan Chan.
