Get off at 'Colares' bus stop. From there, the Sanctuary of Peninha is about a 30-minute walk. Follow the signs towards 'Sanctuary of Peninha' and head uphill on the main road. Keep an eye out for the trail markers.

    If you prefer to walk, start from the Cascais town center and head northwest towards Avenida Dom Carlos I. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rua da Liberdade. Turn left and follow this road until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Estrada da Malveira. Continue straight for about 3.5 km until you reach the entrance of the Sanctuary of Peninha. The walk will take around 1 hour.
