Getting There

  • Metro

    If you're near the metro station 'Cais do Sodré', take the Green Line (Linha Verde) towards 'Telheiras'. Get off at the 'Baixa-Chiado' station. Transfer to the Blue Line (Linha Azul) towards 'Santa Apolónia' and get off at 'Alameda'. From there, change to the Red Line (Linha Vermelha) towards 'Aeroporto' and alight at 'São Sebastião'. At 'São Sebastião', exit the station and follow the signs for 'R. das Janelas Verdes'. Walk straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the National Museum of Ancient Art at R. das Janelas Verdes, 1249-017 Lisboa.

    From Praça do Comércio, take Tram 28 (the famous yellow tram) in the direction of 'Campo de Ourique'. Ride until you reach the stop 'Estrela'. Exit the tram and walk towards the 'Basílica da Estrela'. From there, head towards the river, and you will find R. das Janelas Verdes in about a 10-minute walk. The National Museum of Ancient Art will be on your right.
