Getting There

• Public Transport

  Start your journey at the nearest metro station, which could be Cais do Sodré (Green Line). From Cais do Sodré, take the metro towards Telheiras and ride for 2 stops until you reach the Baixa-Chiado station. Change here to the Blue Line towards Amadora Este and travel for 3 stops to reach the Marquês de Pombal station. At Marquês de Pombal, switch to the bus services. Look for bus number 201 or 207, which will take you directly towards Lagoa de Albufeira. The bus ride will take approximately 40-50 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the Lagoa de Albufeira stop. From there, walk towards the beach, which is about a 10-minute stroll away.

• Bus

  You can also take the direct bus from Lisbon to Lagoa de Albufeira. Head to the Sete Rios bus station, which is reachable by taking the metro to Jardim Zoológico station (Blue Line). From Sete Rios, catch the bus to Albufeira. The bus ride will take roughly 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Lagoa de Albufeira, follow the signs to the beach area, which is a short walk from the bus stop.

• Combination of Metro and Train

  Begin your trip at the Rossio train station, which is accessible via the Rossio metro station (Green Line). From Rossio, take a train towards Sintra, but get off at the second stop, which is the station of Algueirão-Mem Martins. From there, switch to a train heading towards Lisbon and get off at the next stop, which is the station of Ericeira. Finally, take a taxi or a local bus towards Lagoa de Albufeira. The total travel time may vary, but expect around 1.5 to 2 hours.
