Public Transport
Start at Setúbal's main bus station, Terminal Rodoviário de Setúbal. From there, take the bus line 13 towards 'Arrábida'. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop 'Convento Nossa Senhora da Arrábida'. Once you get off the bus, you will see signs directing you to the convent, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill from the bus stop.

If you prefer to walk, you can start at Praça do Brasil in Setúbal. Head towards the Avenida Luísa Todi and follow the road until you reach Rua da Liberdade. Continue walking straight until you reach the edge of the city. You will then enter a more natural area, follow the signs for the Arrábida Natural Park. The walk is approximately 1.5 hours and quite scenic, but be prepared for some uphill sections. Look out for signs directing you to the Convent of Our Lady of Arrábida as you approach.

You can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Setúbal. Once you have your bike, head towards the waterfront and follow the bike path along the coastline.
