Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the Baixa district, head towards Rua do Ouro. Look for the intersection with Rua do Carmo. Continue straight until you reach the Santa Justa Lift, which is located at R. do Ouro, 1150-060 Lisboa. The lift is a distinct iron structure, and you can see it from a distance due to its height.

  • Public Transport

    If you are further away in Baixa, the nearest metro station is Rossio (Green Line). Take the metro to Rossio station, exit the station, and head towards Rua do Ouro. From there, follow the walking directions to Santa Justa Lift as mentioned above. Note that a single metro ticket costs around €1.50.

  • Tram

    You can also take Tram 28, which is a popular tourist tram. Get on at any stop along the route and disembark at the stop called 'Carmo'. From the Carmo stop, it’s a short walk to the Santa Justa Lift. Just head down Rua do Carmo and take a left onto Rua do Ouro. The lift will be visible ahead. A tram ticket costs about €3.00.
