If you're driving, head towards the center of Nazaré. From the main avenue (Avenida da República), take the road towards the beach. Follow signs for 'Forte de São Miguel Arcanjo' or 'Farol'. As you drive along the coastline, continue until you reach Estr. do Farol. The fort is located at Estr. do Farol 2450. There is some parking available near the fort, but be aware of any parking restrictions.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take a local bus from Nazaré's main bus terminal. Look for buses heading towards 'Praia do Norte' or 'Farol'. Alight at the stop closest to Estr. do Farol. From there, it is a short walk (approximately 10-15 minutes) following the signs to the fort. If you are already in Nazaré and close to the beach area, you can walk to the fort. Start at the beach (Praia da Nazaré) and walk north along the promenade. Follow the coastline until you reach the road that leads to Estr. do Farol. The walk is about 30 minutes and offers beautiful views of the ocean. Once you reach Estr. do Farol, you will see signs directing you to the Forte de São Miguel Arcanjo.
