Getting There

• Car

  From Portimão, head east on the N125 in the direction of Lagoa. Continue for approximately 15 minutes (about 12 km). As you approach Lagoa, look for signs directing you to Carvoeiro. Take the exit towards Carvoeiro and follow the signs until you reach the town. Once in Carvoeiro, follow the signs to Praia do Carvalho. The beach is located just a short drive from the town center, with parking available nearby. Please note that parking may incur a fee, typically around €2-€3 for a day.

• Public Transportation

  From Portimão, you can take the bus (Line 1 or Line 20) from the Portimão bus station to Lagoa. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Lagoa, you will need to transfer to a local bus or taxi to reach Praia do Carvalho, as there are no direct bus services to the beach. A taxi from Lagoa to Praia do Carvalho will cost approximately €10-€15. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited on weekends.

• Walking (from Carvoeiro)

  If you are already in Carvoeiro, you can walk to Praia do Carvalho. From the center of Carvoeiro, head towards the coastal path that leads to the beach. The walk is approximately 2 km and takes about 25-30 minutes. Follow the signs along the path, which may include some stairs and rocky areas, so wear comfortable shoes. The scenic route offers beautiful views of the coastline.
