From Serra da Lousã, start by getting onto the N342 road heading towards Coimbra. Follow the signs for Coimbra. After approximately 30 minutes and 25 km, you will reach Coimbra. As you enter the city, follow the directions towards the city center (Centro). Once you reach the central area, look for signs pointing to the University of Coimbra. You can park at nearby parking facilities such as Parque da Universidade or Parque de Estacionamento do Choupal. The Escadas Monumentais are located near the university's entrance, a short walk from the parking area.

From Serra da Lousã, take a bus to Coimbra. The bus service is provided by Rede de Transportes da Região de Coimbra (RTC). The journey takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Coimbra bus terminal, exit the terminal and walk towards the city center. You can follow the signs for the University of Coimbra, which is approximately a 20-minute walk from the bus terminal. Alternatively, you can take a local taxi from the bus terminal to the university for a quicker journey.
