If you are driving from the center of Sintra, start by heading southeast on Estrada da Liberdade towards Avenida Doutor Alfredo da Silva. Continue straight onto Rua Visconde de Juromenha. Merge onto the A16 highway, following signs for Lisboa. After about 20 km, take exit 9 toward Av. Infante Dom Henrique. Continue on Av. Infante Dom Henrique until you reach Praça Afonso de Albuquerque in Lisbon. There is parking available nearby.

To reach the Garden of Afonso de Albuquerque using public transportation, start at Sintra train station. Take the train towards Lisbon (Cascais Line). After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at Cais do Sodré station. From there, take the metro (Green Line) to Baixa-Chiado station. Once you exit the metro, follow the signs to Praça do Comércio. Walk along the waterfront towards Praça Afonso de Albuquerque. The garden is located near the waterfront area.
