Walking
Start at the Setúbal train station. Exit the station and head southeast on Avenida 5 de Outubro. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rua da Tróia. Follow this road until you reach the waterfront. Once at the waterfront, turn left and walk along the promenade (Cais 1) towards the marina. You will pass the ferry terminal on your left. Continue along the waterfront until you reach the end of the marina area. From here, you can see the Forte de Santiago do Outão directly across the water. To get to the fortress, you can take the ferry from the terminal to Troia. After disembarking, follow the signs toward the beach and the fortress. The walk will take about 20 minutes.
