Walking
If you are in the city center of Viana do Castelo, start at Praça da República, which is a central square. From the square, head northwest towards Rua da Bandeira. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra. Turn left onto this avenue and walk for about 15 minutes. You'll pass by several shops and cafes along the way. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Santa Luzia. After about 1.2 kilometers, you will see the sign for the funicular railway that leads to the top of Santa Luzia hill. Take the funicular up, and once you reach the top, follow the signs to Museu de Santa Luzia.

Public Transport
From Viana do Castelo's train station, exit and head towards the bus stop located just outside the station. Take the local bus labeled 'Santa Luzia.' The bus ride will take about 10-15 minutes. Get off at the Santa Luzia stop. From there, you can either take the funicular to the top or walk up the hill. If you choose to walk, follow the path leading up the hill for about 15 minutes, and you will reach Museu de Santa Luzia.
