If you are in the city center of Viana do Castelo, start at Praça da República, which is a central square. From the square, head northwest towards Rua da Bandeira. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra. Turn left onto this avenue and walk for about 15 minutes. After about 1.2 kilometers, you will see the sign for the funicular railway that leads to the top of Santa Luzia hill. Take the funicular up, and once you reach the top, follow the signs to Museu de Santa Luzia.
