Walking
If you are starting from the Viana do Castelo train station, exit the station and head south on Rua da Estação. Continue straight until you reach Avenida de Cabo Verde. Turn left and walk along the avenue until you reach the riverfront. Follow the river promenade (Cais das Descobertas) and enjoy the views. Continue walking until you see the bridge (Ponte Eiffel). Cross the bridge and take the first left onto Rua de Monserrate. The Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Agony will be on your right at R. de Monserrate 12.
