If you are in downtown Providence, you can easily walk to WaterFire. Start at Kennedy Plaza, which is at the intersection of Dorrance St and Washington St. Head north on Washington St towards the State House. Continue straight, passing the Bank of America building on your left. After about 5-10 minutes, you will reach the intersection with North Main St. Turn right onto North Main St. Walk straight for another couple of minutes, and you will see WaterFire at 4 N Main St, right by the river.

From Kennedy Plaza, take the R-Line bus towards the Pawtucket Transit Center. Get off at the stop at North Main St and Canal St. Once you disembark, walk north on North Main St for about 5 minutes. WaterFire is located at 4 N Main St, along the river, where you will see the installations.

If you are at the Providence Amtrak Station, exit the station and head to the nearby bus stop on Gaspee St. Take the R-Line bus towards the Pawtucket Transit Center.
