Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Providence Place Mall, exit the mall and head south towards the intersection of Francis Street and Washington Street. Cross Washington Street and continue walking straight until you reach Kennedy Plaza. The Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument is located at 99 Kennedy Plaza, which will be on your right.

• Walking

  From the Rhode Island Convention Center, exit towards the south and walk down Sabin Street until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn left onto Washington Street and continue walking until you reach Kennedy Plaza. The monument will be located on your left at 99 Kennedy Plaza.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  If you are near the Providence Bus Terminal, you can take any bus heading towards Kennedy Plaza. The fare for a single ride is $2.00. Once you reach Kennedy Plaza, exit the bus, and the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument will be right in front of you at 99 Kennedy Plaza.

• Walking

  From the Dunkin' Donuts Center, exit the arena and head east along the sidewalk on the right side of the building until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn left onto Washington Street and walk until you reach Kennedy Plaza. The monument will be located on your right at 99 Kennedy Plaza.

  If you are near the State House, exit the building and walk south towards North Main Street. Turn left onto North Main Street and continue straight until you reach Kennedy Plaza. The Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument will be on your left at 99 Kennedy Plaza.
