From Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge, head south on Sachuest Point Road towards the intersection with Third Beach Road. Turn right onto Third Beach Road and continue driving for about 1.5 miles. Follow the signs to Route 138 and merge onto it. Take the exit for Newport and continue onto Admiral Kalbfus Road. At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto East Main Road. Continue straight, and then turn right onto Washington Street. The Rose Island Lighthouse will be on your left at 1 Washington St, Newport, RI 02840.

From Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge, walk to the nearest bus stop on Third Beach Road (approximately a 10-minute walk). Take the RIPTA bus #67 in the direction of Newport. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes and get off at the stop on Newport’s Washington Square. From there, you can either walk to Washington Street or take a local taxi or rideshare service to 1 Washington St, Newport, RI 02840, where the Rose Island Lighthouse is located.
