Getting There

    From Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge, head south on Sachuest Point Road towards RI-138. Turn left onto RI-138 and follow it for approximately 6 miles. Continue straight onto Memorial Boulevard (RI-138A) which will lead you into Newport. Once in Newport, turn right onto Cliff Walk. There are parking spots available along the road; however, they may be limited and could require payment. Make sure to check for parking signs.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are using public transportation, take the RIPTA Bus #60 from the nearest bus stop to Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge. This bus will take you to Newport. Get off at the stop closest to the Cliff Walk entrance, which is generally located near Memorial Boulevard. From there, it is a short walk to reach the Cliff Walk itself. Please check the RIPTA schedule for the most accurate times and routes. Note that bus fares will apply.

  • Walking from Newport

    If you find yourself in downtown Newport, you can access the Cliff Walk by walking. Head towards Memorial Boulevard and walk east until you reach the entrance to Cliff Walk.
