Walking
From the center of Westerly, head east on Main Street towards Canal Street. Continue on Main Street until you reach the intersection with High Street. Turn left onto High Street and continue straight until you reach the end of the street. Turn right onto Route 1 (Post Road) and follow it north for approximately 10 miles. You will eventually merge onto I-95 North. Take exit 3 for RI-138 East towards Newport. Follow RI-138 until it merges into Newport Bridge. After crossing the bridge, follow signs for Bellevue Avenue. The National Museum of American Illustration will be on your left at 492 Bellevue Ave.

Public Transportation
Start at the Westerly Train Station located at 14 Railroad Avenue. Take the Amtrak Northeast Regional train heading towards Boston. Get off at the Kingston Station. From Kingston, transfer to the RIPTA Bus #66 towards Newport. This bus will take you directly to Newport. Once in Newport, disembark at the stop closest to Bellevue Avenue. Walk east on Bellevue Avenue for about 10 minutes, and you will find the museum at 492 Bellevue Ave on your right.
