Getting There

Car
If you are driving, start from the Cape Town city center. Head southwest on Long Street, then turn left onto Buitengracht Street. Follow signs for the N1 highway and merge onto it. After approximately 6 km, take the exit for the M3 toward Cape Point. Continue on the M3, which will turn into the M64. Follow the M64 until you reach the entrance to Table Mountain National Park. There is a parking area near the Platteklip Gorge trailhead. Parking fees may apply, generally around R10 to R20 per hour.

Public Transportation (MyCiTi Bus)
From the Cape Town city center, you can take the MyCiTi bus route 108 (towards Hout Bay) from the Civic Centre bus station. Get off at the 'Table Mountain Aerial Cableway' stop. From there, it is about a 20-minute walk to the Platteklip Gorge trailhead. You will need a MyCiTi bus card to pay for your fare, which is around R15 to R30 depending on your starting point. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the return trip.
