Car
If you are travelling by car, start from the main road in Wild Coast (R61). Depending on your starting point, make your way to the R61 and head towards the town of Port Edward. From Port Edward, follow the signs to the N2 highway. Continue on the N2 towards Umtata. After about 30 kilometers, take the exit towards the R61 again, following the signs for Tsweleni and Mpande. Once you reach Mpande, look for signs directing you to Mpande Beach. The Kraal is located at Mpande Beach, Tsweleni, 5121. Make sure to have a GPS or map app handy as the roads can be rural and less marked.

For those using public transportation, take a bus or minibus taxi from major towns like Mthatha or Port Edward to Tsweleni. Buses frequently operate along the coastal route, but check the schedules in advance. Once you arrive in Tsweleni, you may need to hire a local taxi or use a ride-sharing app to reach The Kraal at Mpande Beach. This may incur additional costs, typically around R50 to R100 for the local taxi depending on the distance and time of day.

If you find yourself close to Mpande Beach, you can enjoy a scenic walk to The Kraal. From the Mpande Beach entrance, walk along the beach road. Keep the beach on your right and follow the path until you see The Kraal on your left. This walk will give you a chance to enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery, but please be cautious of the tides and weather conditions.
