From the central areas of Black Hills National Forest, such as Custer or Hill City, take US-16 E towards Rapid City. After approximately 25 miles, merge onto I-90 E towards Sioux Falls. Continue on I-90 for about 40 miles. Take exit 131 for SD-34 E towards Badlands National Park. Follow SD-34 E for about 20 miles until you reach the entrance of Badlands National Park. Be prepared for a park entrance fee, which is currently $30 per vehicle, valid for 7 days.
