From the Mount Rushmore National Memorial entrance, head southwest on SD-244 W. Walk along the path and continue straight for about 1 mile. You'll see signs directing you towards Sylvan Lake. Once you reach the intersection with the road leading to Sylvan Lake, turn left and continue for another half mile until you arrive at Sylvan Lake.
