From Puerto de Alicante, head towards the main thoroughfare, Avenida de la Constitución. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Calle de San Francisco. Turn right onto Calle de San Francisco and continue until you reach the end of the street. This will lead you to the base of the hill where Castell de Santa Bàrbara is located. The castle is visible from this point, so you can follow the signs leading up the hill.

Another option is to take the local bus. Look for the bus stop marked 'Carrer de la Cendra' which is near the beach area. Board the bus number 21 towards 'El Campello'. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the stop 'Castillo de Santa Bárbara'. From there, it is a short walk to the entrance of the castle. The bus fare is typically around €1.45.

You can also take the funicular train option. From the base of the hill, head towards the 'Parque de la Ereta' where the funicular station is located. The funicular will take you directly up to the castle entrance. The fare for the funicular is approximately €2.00 one way. This is a scenic and enjoyable ride that offers stunning views of the city.
