Walking
Start at the Badajoz city center, near the Plaza de España. From the plaza, head east on Calle de José de la Luz. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida de Elvas. Turn left onto Avenida de Elvas and follow it. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the border with Portugal. Cross the border and continue straight on N-4 in Portugal, which will turn into Rua de Elvas. Continue straight for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach the town of Elvas. Once in Elvas, follow the signs directing you to the center of the town. The Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Assunção (Antiga Sé de Elvas) is located at R. Isabel Maria Picão 2A, 7350-146 Elvas. It should be about a 30-minute walk from the border.

From Badajoz, head to the main bus station, Estación de Autobuses de Badajoz. Take a bus that goes to Elvas; several companies operate this route. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Elvas bus station, exit the station and head towards the town center. Follow the signs to get to R. Isabel Maria Picão, where the Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Assunção (Antiga Sé de Elvas) is located. It is about a 10-minute walk from the bus station.
