Getting There

• Bus

  From the center of Girona, head to the main bus station, Estació d'Autobusos de Girona. You can walk there from Plaça de Catalunya or take a short taxi ride. Once at the bus station, look for the bus line that goes to L'Escala. The bus ride typically takes about 40-50 minutes. After arriving at L'Escala bus station, head towards the coast and follow the signs to Parc Natural del Montgrí, Illes Medes i Baix Ter. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from the bus station.

• Train and Bus

  You can take a train from Girona to Figueres or another nearby town. From Girona's train station, purchase a ticket to Figueres. Once you arrive in Figueres, transfer to a bus heading towards L'Escala. The total travel time can be around 1.5 to 2 hours. After arriving at L'Escala bus station, follow the coastal signs to reach the park, which is approximately a 15-20 minute walk from there.

• Bicycle

  If you are feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Girona. Cycle through the scenic routes towards L'Escala. The ride is approximately 30 kilometers and can take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Follow the signs towards the Costa Brava and L'Escala. Once you arrive in L'Escala, look for directional signs to Parc Natural del Montgrí, Illes Medes i Baix Ter.

• Walking

  If you are located close to L'Escala, you can simply walk to Parc Natural del Montgrí, Illes Medes i Baix Ter. From the center of L'Escala, head towards the coast, following the promenade. Look for signs that indicate the direction to the park. The walk should take about 20-30 minutes depending on your starting point.
