If you're driving from Anuradhapura town, head southeast on the A9 road towards Mihintale. After approximately 15 kilometers, you will see signs for Mihintale. Turn right onto the B219 road, and continue for about 5 kilometers until you reach Mihintale. As you approach Mihintale, keep an eye out for the Rajagiri Caves signs on your left. Park your car in the designated parking area and follow the signs to the caves.

To reach Rajagiri Caves using public transport, take a bus from Anuradhapura city center to Mihintale. Buses leave frequently from the main bus station. The fare is usually around 50 LKR. Once you arrive in Mihintale, ask the driver or locals for directions to Rajagiri Caves. It is about 2 kilometers from the bus stop, and you can either walk or hire a tuk-tuk for approximately 200 LKR to take you directly to the caves.
