Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at Ella Railway Station. Exit the station and head south on the main road (A23) towards the town center. Continue walking for about 1 km until you reach the Ella town center. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the road leading to Uduwara. After approximately 1.5 km, you will see a sign for Demodara on your left. Follow this road uphill for about 1 km. As you walk, enjoy the lush surroundings and local scenery. The Demodara DWTP view point is located just off the main road, look for a small path leading to the viewpoint on your right.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    From your location in Ella, find a tuk-tuk stand or hail one on the street. Tell the driver to take you to the Demodara DWTP view point. The ride will take approximately 15 minutes. The tuk-tuk will drop you off at the base of the viewpoint path. From there, follow the short walking path leading up to the viewpoint, which is just a few minutes away.
