From Nuwara Eliya, take a train from the Nanu Oya Railway Station, which is about 8 km away. You can take a tuktuk or a local bus to reach the Nanu Oya station. The train journey will take you to Demodara Station. Be sure to check the train schedule in advance, as trains may not run frequently. Once you arrive at Demodara Station, you can walk approximately 1.5 km to the Demodara Railway Looping Loop.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a tuktuk from your accommodation in Nuwara Eliya. Simply tell the driver that you want to go to Demodara Railway Looping Loop, located near W337+92P, Demodara. The ride will take around 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic.

You can also take a bus from Nuwara Eliya to Demodara. Head to the Nuwara Eliya bus station and catch a bus heading to Badulla or Ella. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Demodara. Once you arrive, it’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the Demodara Railway Looping Loop.
