From Horton Plains National Park, exit the park and head south towards the A7 highway. Continue on A7 for about 15 km until you reach the intersection with the Avissawella - Hatton - Nuwara Eliya Highway (B2). Turn onto B2 and drive for approximately 5 km until you reach the Swarnagiri Maha Viharaya, which will be located on your left at coordinates 6.9550559, 80.766179. There is no parking fee, but ensure your vehicle is parked properly.

From Horton Plains National Park, you will need to take a bus to Nuwara Eliya. First, exit the park and walk to the nearest bus stop on the A7 highway. Catch a bus heading towards Nuwara Eliya (make sure to confirm with the driver). The bus ride will take about 30 minutes and cost around 50 LKR. Once you arrive in Nuwara Eliya, you can either walk or take a tuk-tuk to Swarnagiri Maha Viharaya, which is about 3 km away from the bus station. Expect to pay around 150 LKR for the tuk-tuk.
