From the center of Kandy, head to the main bus station located near the Kandy clock tower. Look for a tuk-tuk driver and ask them to take you to Mapakada Wewa. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes, passing through beautiful countryside. Make sure to agree on a price before starting your journey.

Walk to the Kandy bus station and take a bus heading towards Mahiyanganaya. You will need to inform the bus conductor that you want to get off at Mapakada Wewa. The journey may take about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Once you arrive, there should be signs or locals who can direct you to the lake, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
