Car
If you are driving in Central Province, head towards the small town of Gampola, which is well-connected by roads. From Gampola, take the A1 highway towards Kandy. After approximately 8 km, turn onto the B84 road towards Horabora Wewa. Continue on this road for about 5 km until you reach the dedicated parking area for Horabora Wewa. Please note that there is a walk of about 1 km from the car park to the lake.

To reach Horabora Wewa using public transportation, take a bus from Kandy to Gampola. The bus ride typically takes about 30 minutes and costs around 50 LKR. Upon arriving in Gampola, you can either take a tuk-tuk or a taxi to the B84 road leading to Horabora Wewa. The tuk-tuk ride will cost approximately 300-500 LKR and will take about 15-20 minutes. Once you reach the end of the road, you will need to walk approximately 1 km to the lake.

If you are in the vicinity of Gampola and prefer a more direct option, you can hire a tuk-tuk to take you to Horabora Wewa. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes and will cost about 300-500 LKR. Make sure to confirm the price before starting your journey. Once you arrive, remember that there is a 1 km walk from the drop-off point to the lake.
