From Kilinochchi District, start by heading south on the A9 highway towards Jaffna. After approximately 36 km, you will reach the town of Jaffna. Continue to follow the signs to Dhanushkodi. The journey from Jaffna to Dhanushkodi will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Note that the road may become bumpy and unpaved as you approach Dhanushkodi, so be prepared for some rough driving. Once you reach Dhanushkodi, you will find the Last Indian Road near the coastline, marked by scenic views.

To reach Dhanushkodi using public transport, you can take a bus from Kilinochchi to Jaffna. Buses leave regularly from the Kilinochchi bus station and the fare is approximately LKR 100-200. Once you arrive in Jaffna, you can catch a bus to Dhanushkodi. Buses to Dhanushkodi may not run frequently, so check the schedule in advance. The bus fare from Jaffna to Dhanushkodi is around LKR 300-400. After reaching Dhanushkodi, you will need to walk or take a local tuk-tuk to the Last Indian Road.
