    From Matara, head to the Matara bus station. Look for a bus heading towards Tangalle. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Tangalle, get off at the main bus station. After exiting the bus, ask locals for directions to Kalametiya, as it is about 10 km from the Tangalle bus station. You can take a tuk-tuk or a local bus (which may be less frequent) to reach Kalametiya. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    From the Matara bus station, take a tuk-tuk directly to Kalametiya Lagoon Bird Sanctuary & Wetland Park. It’s advisable to negotiate the fare beforehand.
