Private Car
If you are driving from any location within Bundala National Park, head northwest on the main park road towards the park exit. Once you exit the park, turn right onto the A2 highway toward Tangalle. Continue on the A2 for approximately 12 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Rekawa Beach. Turn left onto Oruwella Road and follow it until you reach the natural rock pool at Rekawa Beach. There is no entry fee for the beach, but keep in mind that parking may be limited.

Public Transportation
To reach Rekawa Beach using public transport, you will first need to take a bus from Bundala National Park to Tangalle. Buses to Tangalle can be found at the main bus stop near the park entrance. The fare is typically around 50-100 LKR. Once in Tangalle, you can catch a local bus heading toward Rekawa; these usually run every 30 minutes. The fare for the local bus to Rekawa Beach is about 20 LKR. Ask the bus driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Oruwella Road, from which you can walk to the natural rock pool.

For a more direct route, consider hiring a taxi or tuk-tuk from Bundala National Park to Rekawa Beach. You can negotiate a fare before starting your journey; expect to pay around 1500 to 2500 LKR depending on the distance and time of day. The driver will take you directly to Oruwella Road, where you can easily access the natural rock pool. This option is convenient if you are traveling with a group or prefer not to navigate public transport.
