If you are driving from the Bundala National Park entrance, head south on the main road (A2) towards Hambantota. After approximately 7 kilometers, look for the signs directing you to Kalamatiya Lagoon. Turn onto the road leading to Kalamatiya, which is marked as 'Kalametiya' on most maps. Continue straight for about 3 kilometers until you reach the lagoon area. There is no designated parking, so you may need to park your car along the roadside.

To reach Kalamatiya Lagoon via public transportation, you can take a local bus from Hambantota to Kalamatiya. Buses run frequently throughout the day.
