Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from the Matara Bus Station, exit the station and head southeast on Main Street. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the junction with Galle Road (A2). Cross over to the other side of Galle Road. From here, keep walking straight along Galle Road for approximately 1 kilometer until you see the sign for Veluvanaramaya on your left. Turn left onto the road leading to Veluvanaramaya, and the temple will be a short walk ahead.
