Walking
If you're starting from the Matara Bus Station, exit the station and head southeast on Main Street. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the junction with Galle Road (A2). Cross over to the other side of Galle Road. From here, keep walking straight along Galle Road for approximately 1 kilometer until you see the sign for Veluvanaramaya on your left. Turn left onto the road leading to Veluvanaramaya, and the temple will be a short walk ahead.

If you prefer to take a tuk-tuk, you can easily find one near the Matara Bus Station. Ask the driver to take you to Veluvanaramaya, which is known locally. The journey will take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your ride.

From the Matara Bus Station, you can catch a local bus heading towards Galle. Get off at the stop near the junction with Galle Road. From there, you can either walk along Galle Road as described above or take a tuk-tuk for the last part of your journey to Veluvanaramaya.
