Walking
If you are starting from the Matara bus station, exit the station and head south on Main Street. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Beach Road. Continue walking along Beach Road for approximately 1 kilometer. As you walk, you will notice the ocean on your left. Matara Beach Park will be on your right, just after you pass the local shops and eateries.
Tuk-Tuk
You can hire a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Matara. Simply tell the driver to take you to 'Beach Park, Beach Road'. The ride will take about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, the park entrance will be easily visible from the road.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from a local shop. Start from the center of Matara and head towards Beach Road. Follow the same route as mentioned for walking. Cycling along Beach Road is pleasant, with beautiful views of the beach. The park will be on your right after approximately 1 kilometer.
