    From the center of Mirissa, head south on the main road (Matara Road) towards Weligama. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Weligama town center. At the roundabout in Weligama, take the first exit onto the Galle-Matara Highway. Walk approximately 500 meters until you see a sign for Kanneliya Rainforest. Follow the sign and take a left onto the road leading to Panangala, Koralegama. The forest entrance is about 2 kilometers down this road, on your left.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    If you prefer a quicker option, you can hire a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Mirissa. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Kanneliya Rainforest in Koralegama. The ride will take about 25 minutes. The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the forest. Make sure to agree on a price before starting your journey.

  • Bicycle

    For those feeling adventurous, renting a bicycle is a great way to reach Kanneliya Rainforest. Start from Mirissa and head towards Weligama on the main road. Once in Weligama, continue to the roundabout and take the first exit onto the Galle-Matara Highway. After about 500 meters, look for the sign for Kanneliya Rainforest. Turn left and cycle along the road for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach the entrance. Ensure you wear a helmet and stay cautious of traffic.
