Car
If you're driving from the city of Polonnaruwa, head east on the A11 highway towards Habarana. After about 25 kilometers, you will reach the junction at Habarana. Turn left onto the Maradankadawala-Habarana-Thirukkondaiadimadu Highway (B0). Continue straight for approximately 10 kilometers, and you will see the entrance to Minneriya National Park on your right. Parking is available at the entrance, but ensure you have cash for the entrance fee.

From Polonnaruwa, take a local bus heading to Habarana. Buses depart frequently from the main bus station. The ride will take about 45 minutes. Once you reach Habarana, you can catch a tuk-tuk or local taxi to the entrance of Minneriya National Park, which is about 10 kilometers away. Be prepared to negotiate the fare with the driver, and confirm that they know the way to the park entrance.
