Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the center of Nuwara Eliya, near the famous Gregory Lake. From the lake, head southwest along the main road, passing by the Grand Hotel on your left. Continue straight on the main road, which is known as the A5 highway. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the junction where you need to turn left onto the road leading towards the Kolapathana Waterfall. Follow this road for about 1 kilometer until you see a small sign indicating the path to the waterfall.

  • Walking

    Once you reach the sign, take the narrow path that leads into the lush greenery. The path may be a bit steep and uneven, so be cautious. Walk for about 500 meters, and you will start hearing the sound of the waterfall. Continue on the path, and after a few more minutes, you will arrive at the stunning Kolapathana Waterfall.

  • Public Transport (Tuk-Tuk)

    If you prefer a quicker route, you can hire a tuk-tuk from the main town area. Inform the driver that you want to go to Kolapathana Waterfall.
