    From Åre, start your journey by heading southwest on E14 towards Krokom. Continue on E14 for about 80 km until you reach the junction with E4. Merge onto E4 and continue south for approximately 170 km. Take exit 143 towards Råcksta/Kista and follow signs for E18. Take E18 for about 20 km and then follow the signs for Björkö. You will need to find parking in the nearby area, as the island itself does not have parking facilities.

    Begin your trip by taking a bus from Åre to Östersund. You can catch a bus from the Åre bus station. The journey takes around 1 hour and costs approximately 100 SEK. Once in Östersund, transfer to a train heading towards Stockholm. Get off at the Bålsta station, which takes about 3 hours. From Bålsta, take a local bus or taxi to the nearby dock for the ferry service to Björkö. The ferry ride will take about 30 minutes, and tickets can be purchased on-site.
