Car
From Björkliden, head southwest on E10 towards Kiruna. Continue on E10 for approximately 1.5 hours until you reach the junction with E4. Merge onto E4 southbound towards Stockholm. After about 2 hours, take the exit for Road 70 towards Enköping. Follow Road 70 for approximately 1 hour until you reach the town of Bålsta. From Bålsta, follow signs for Björkö-Birka. You will reach the ferry terminal where you can park your car and take a ferry to the island of Björkö. The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes. Note: Ferry tickets will incur an additional cost.

Public Transportation
Start at Björkliden and take a bus towards Kiruna. From Kiruna, transfer to a train heading south towards Stockholm. You will need to get off at the nearest train station to Bålsta (likely in Uppsala or Bålsta). From Bålsta station, take a local bus or taxi to the Björkö ferry terminal. Once at the terminal, purchase a ferry ticket to Björkö-Birka. The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes. Be sure to check the bus and train schedules ahead of time to coordinate your connections. Note: Public transport tickets will incur additional costs.
