Bus
To reach the Stockholm archipelago from central Stockholm, start at T-Centralen (the main metro station). From T-Centralen, take bus number 69 towards 'Lidingö'. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the bus stop 'Strandvägen', which is close to the harbor where you can find ferries to the islands of the archipelago.

Once you arrive at Strandvägen, walk towards the harbor and look for the ferry terminal. There are several companies providing ferry services to various islands in the archipelago. You can purchase tickets at the terminal or online. Make sure to check the ferry schedules as they vary throughout the day. Popular destinations include Vaxholm and Grinda.

Metro and Bus
Alternatively, you can take the metro from T-Centralen to Slussen station (blue line). At Slussen, transfer to bus number 47 towards 'Djurgården'. This route will take you to the ferry terminal at Djurgården, where you can catch a ferry to the archipelago. The bus ride lasts about 15 minutes.

If you are staying near the waterfront, you can also walk to the ferry terminal at Strandvägen. It is approximately a 15-20 minute walk from Gamla Stan (Old Town) along the scenic waterfront, offering beautiful views of the city and the harbor.
