Walking
From the center of Ascona, head east on the main road (Via alla Chiesa) towards the lakeshore. Continue straight until you reach the lakefront promenade (Lungolago). Turn left and walk along the promenade, enjoying the views of Lake Maggiore. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the ferry terminal in Locarno. Take the ferry to Lugano, which will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Lugano, walk uphill on Via Nassa, then turn right onto Via Borghetto. The Cathedral of Saint Lawrence will be on your left at Via Borghetto 1.

From Ascona, walk to the Ascona Posta bus stop. Take the bus number 31 towards Lugano. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Lugano, Stazione FFS stop. From there, walk towards the city center by heading down Via Giuseppe Mazzini. Continue onto Via Nassa and then turn right onto Via Borghetto. The Cathedral of Saint Lawrence will be at Via Borghetto 1.
