    If you're driving from Lucerne, take the A2 highway towards Interlaken. Exit at Brienz (exit 38). Follow the signs towards Brienz and then to Giessbach. The drive takes about 45 minutes. Once in Brienz, continue on the road until you reach the Giessbachbahn (Giessbach funicular) station. Note that parking is available near the funicular station, which may incur a small fee.

    From Lucerne, take a train to Brienz. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and requires one transfer at Meiringen. Upon arriving at Brienz station, follow the signs towards the lake and the Giessbachbahn (Giessbach funicular) station. The funicular ride will take you up to the waterfalls. Tickets for the funicular can be purchased at the station.
